Do You Know How to Use a Power Supply?

Do you know how to use the Power Supplies in the Good room? It seems like a fairly simple procedure but I am surprised by how much I don’t know about them. So here is a guide to what the buttons on the Power Supplies do!

First thing that comes into sight are the two numbers with V and A next to them. These are the Voltage and Current value displays. You can adjust the values by rotating the “adjust” knob below.

Voltage and Current Display

On the right are the power supply indicators. OVP means Over-Voltage Protection, OCP means Over-Current Protection. If the lights are on, the Protection Modes are active, meaning the output voltage/current is higher than the protection setup value, and it automatically cuts off the output.

C.C means Constant Current Mode, and C.V means Constant Voltage Mode. If these lights are on, the power supply is able to maintain a constant current/voltage output.

OUT is the output indicator. If the light is on, there is voltage output.

M1-M4 are the storage indicators. You can save and recall 4 different setups of voltage and current values.

LOCK is self-explanatory: it locks the buttons on the front panel.

Now press the Off/On button and you are all set to go!
