Raffy Landestoy: Equipment Technician

article by Aleksa Angjeliu & Fiona Teich

When Fiona Teich began clearing out rooms K and L in the back of M5 in the autumn of 2024, neither room was much more than a junk closet, and ElectronicaLab was little more than a shell of a long-forgotten concept. Despite ElectronicaLab’s rebirth since then, the “junk” from previous years remains mysterious and largely unexplored. It is Raffy Landestoy who has finally defined the line between “hackables” and “equipment” in the Lab.

Raffy Landestoy is our recently-appointed Equip-ment Technician—and he’s been diagnosing and repairing most of the gear in the Lab. He’s the one who’s tested the mixing equipment and drum machines, and he’s responsible for maintaining the bass and restringing the guitars.

He can be found in the Lab fixing guitar pedals, playing a riff, or helping the rest of us uncover the mysteries hidden inside the remaining hackables boxes. He’s also got great handwriting. Go Raffy!
