M5 welcomes Girl Scouts!

This Saturday, April 12th, I gave a tour of M5 to Girl Scouts of grades 3rd to 5th. The theme of Girl Scouts was Fun with Chemical Engineering and they learnt how to make lip balm, silly putty and about Design Flow Diagrams using chocolate covered cookies!

The tour was optional, but all the girls were very interested to visit the Electrical and Computer Engineering makerspace. I showed them the 3D printing lab, the soldering stations, the machine shop, and taught them what soldering is!

Technology is for people of all ages and backgrounds. You will learn something new in tech regardless of what your interests are!
