Intro to CAD Design Part 1

Make a fun Lego Block with me!

I made a ton of mistakes so it’s not exactly the same as the tutorial! Sorry if this causes any confusion!

First we create a new sketch. You should navigate to Solid —> Create —> New Component

In the tutorial, he clicks the bottom plane. I ended up clicking the left plane. This caused a ton of differences with the reference — just a heads up!

Step 2: Click on the Rectangle Option. Drag out the cursor to create a rectangle.

The dimensions are 15mm and 31.8mm. Use the tab button on your keyboard to lock the dimension and move to edit the next dimension. Use the small circle at the bottom to move the rectangle.

Use the small circle highlighted below to move and reorient the box

Now, we use extrude to make the rectangle a box

I forget the exact dimensions probably around 16mm???
